Presented
to over 100,000 people
from Alaska to Florida
Audiences: Business, Health Care, and Education sectors,
Social Services, Profit and Non-Profit,
Associations, Conferences, and Large/Small Groups.
I am very motivational, but I am also very educational. I work closely with the people who are hiring me
to make sure the presentation fits
the demographic of the audience.
The presentations can range anywhere from an after-meal speech to a
much more involved seminar or breakout session lasting from one hour
to all day. I do many keynotes at conferences or general
presentations to organizations. The more typical presentations
I give run from one to two hours. I also work closely with the
sponsoring group to help obtain CEUs or any other accreditation. I
can furnish goals and objectives as well as teaching method and
content if desired.
"Scott has
spoken on behalf of The Cincinnati Insurance Companies on more than
60 occasions. Each and every time he's left our employees and agents
feeling more in touch with themselves and with a greater sense of
optimism and hope. He's got a wonderful blend of humor, reality and
sensitivity that fits every audience. Not only is he entertaining, his message has staying power."
J.F. Scherer
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing
I also modify the talk to fit the group, whether it's a keynote or a breakout session.
For example, the "Don't Manage Your Stress" talk can be directed to
fit a "Dealing with Change" type of program. When I do a
breakout seminar or workshop, I can make it interactive with the
participants if the group is small enough. I have spoken to
groups of over a thousand and under twenty people. I am
also available for ongoing training seminars spanning weeks or
months.
"Based
on conference feedback forms, Dr. Sheperd was the highest rated
speaker in the history of our annual conferences."

I use humor in my presentations, but I don't do a
series of jokes. My presentations are not superficial or
esoteric, but rather challenging, motivational and down-to-earth. It is my
goal that people have something they can use when they leave the
presentation. I can't make them use it, but I do give them
something they can use if they choose to.
