His highest compliments are that
he is
"down-to-earth," and that "he gave me something to think about."
(And he's funny also)
One of his most recent books, "Who's In Charge? Attacking the
Stress Myth." is designed to help people rethink how they look at
stress and personal power. It’s a very different approach to coping
with work and life in general from the typical mental health
approach. It challenges the very underpinnings of how we typically
look at stress. It’s a book with ideas, strategies and hope for the
reader.
Another of his books, “I Will Live Today,” is for people dealing with
serious trouble in their lives, including illnesses and injuries. It
is a book of affirmations designed to calm as well as present the
reader with more options for coping with their situations.
“What Do
You Think of You,” is a book on self-esteem for young people and
their parents to read together.
“Choosing the Gift – dealing with
the loss of a loved one,” is a beautiful hardcover book
with words by Scott and beautiful full
color photographs by Agnes L. Barnes. It is a book designed to be
given as a gift for others or yourself after the loss of a loved
one.
Scott has also worked in the field of
substance abuse for many years.
Dr. Sheperd has a B.A. in Music from the University of Toledo, a Master’s

He is a jazz pianist and wrote a Musical called “The Journey”

child trying to rediscover their passion for life and the importance
of being open to the opportunities that present themselves to you. |
